Smart Variant Images Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how INSPIROIN (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when a merchant installs or uses our Shopify app “Smart Variant Images.” By installing or using the app, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app and discontinue use.
Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to merchants who install Smart Variant Images and their staff who access the app in Shopify admin. The app assigns images to product variants on the storefront and does not collect personal data from shoppers browsing the store.
Information the app accesses
To provide variant-image functionality, the app accesses only the following Shopify data.
Store information
Store name, store domain, and the merchant contact email provided by Shopify at install — used to identify your shop and provide support.
Products, variants, and images
Product and variant details and product images, needed to let you assign the correct image to each variant and display it on your storefront.
Theme information
Basic theme information, used only to check that the app block is added to your theme so variant images render correctly. We do not modify your theme without an action you take in the app or theme editor.
What the app stores
The app stores variant-to-image assignments and app settings as metafields and metaobjects saved directly in your Shopify store. The app does not collect shopper personal data (such as names, emails, or browsing behavior), and it does not use cookies for tracking on your storefront.
How we use this information
Data accessed by the app is used solely to show the correct image for each product variant on your storefront. We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to the app’s functionality.
Third parties
The app relies on Shopify’s platform and APIs to operate, and on Vercel, our hosting provider, to run the app’s backend. These providers process data only as needed to deliver the app on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations.
Data retention and deletion
App settings and variant-to-image assignment data are deleted within 48 hours of the app being uninstalled, unless we must retain it for legal, security, or backup purposes. We support Shopify’s mandatory GDPR webhooks — customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact — and respond to all three within the required timeframe.
Merchant rights
You may request access to, or deletion of, your store’s data held by the app at any time by emailing support@inspiroin.com with your store domain. We will verify the request and respond within a reasonable timeframe, and no later than 30 days.
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and application-level security controls to protect data accessed by the app. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; use of the app is at your own risk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “last updated” date on this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Disputes relating to this policy shall be subject to the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
